Gloucestershire\’s former Chief Fire Officer Stewart Edgar will face criminal charges.

The news just in, comes 19 months since Mr Edgar resigned from his post.

Since then we\’ve heard a lot of information over the last few years about what he did or didn\’t do, and what the culture was like at Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue Service under his reign, all that now matters is the law is followed and the judicial process is allowed to run its course.

I hope once the process has been completed, our fire & rescue service can move on from this dark period in its history.
