It might sound odd, but certain crimes have taken a back seat due to austerity. That’s because with limited resources the police have had to prioritise and the number one priority was to protect life.
So crimes like burglary, theft and Anti social behaviour have not had the attention you should reasonably expect.
But that has to change and is changing, with austerity easing we’ve been able to take on board what you’ve been telling me , that these crimes do matter.
With more resources coming, the focus with me over the next four years will be ensuring that, every crime does matter, and you get a service that is reasonable and proportionate.
