I am pleased to be able to offer my support to the current Police and Crime Commissioner, Martin Surl in the forthcoming election.

It is vital to businesses already in the county and to our ability to attract new businesses to the area that we all work and live in a safe environment, with the lowest possible level of crime.

Under Martin’s stewardship we have seen the county go from being the 14th safest area to become the 5th safest.

Martin has an impressive track record of delivering on the promises he gives, most notably the re-introduction of neighbourhood police, recruitment of new officers and investment in the Force.

I personally believe that a significant factor in his achievements has been his past experience as a serving officer and his independence from any political party.
