This last month I\\’ve been canvassing your views on whether you can and are willing to, pay more for policing in Gloucestershire.<\/p>\n

My office has conducted a survey using social media as well as a written letter to every household.<\/p>\n

This year more so than any other I really needed to hear from the public before making my mind up about putting up taxes.<\/p>\n

No one really wants to pay more do they – but as I\\’ve written about the Government before Christmas announced the county would get \u00a36.6 million extra for policing in 2021 – which was not true unless you paid 5.88 % more in your council tax.<\/p>\n

Would my budget plans get the official nod ?<\/h3>\n

Well, today I presented my budget plans and precept proposal to the Gloucestershire\u2019s Police and Crime Panel.<\/a><\/p>\n
