Back in 2012 when I became Gloucesteshire’s first Police & Crime Commissioner the force was shrinking from 1371 full time officers to just 1080 because of \u00a336,000,000 of cuts to the force by the\u00a0 government.\u00a0 It was devestating.<\/p>\n

Times were hard, but in my manifesto I had promised to improve contact with the public so I needed to find ways to do that without breaking the bank.<\/p>\n

I needed to be imaginative,\u00a0 so I decided to buy a second-hand display vehicle that had had a rather easy life promoting Firestone Tyres<\/p>\n
